Just recently my laptop (i5, 8GB RAM) starts slowing down and the RAM usage always goes up to 70%, so I'm planning to upgrade my RAM but I'm not sure whether my laptop supports larger capacity. I open quite a few intensive programs at a time which makes my laptop freeze most of the time, so ..... can anyone inform me whether my laptop is able to support larger memory

if your ram usage goes to 70% and find you pc slow I would start with a hard drive defrag and a CCleaner, I suspect the slow ness your encountering is due to a rather large temp file by the OS, (yes more memory can help)
as for your question on can it be upgraded... you user manual can be found here : https://www.manualslib.com/manual/886487/Lenovo-Yoga-3-14.html
and on page of the specifications https://www.manualslib.com/manual/886487/Lenovo-Yoga-3-14.html?page=31#manual
it states DDR3L-1600MHz (max 8 GB)
