Solved! Can my laptop support 144hz monitor?

I have an Asus VivoBook S15 X510UF with intel 620 UHD and Nvidia mx130. I recently bought an Asus VP249QGR 144hz monitor but I can only run it at 120hz. Does my laptop support 144hz? if yes how can I enable it?

For 1080p 144Hz you will need an HDMI 1.3 or higher, a Dual-Link DVI, or a DisplayPort while 1440p 144Hz requires either an HDMI 2.0 or a DisplayPort 1.2. ... In that case you should only need a small adapter for usb-c->displayport and that should support pretty much everything.

Your video card is not going to be able to handle games at 144hz. The USB C to DP adapter will work if you have a laptop with thunderbolt.
