I'm curious about how AI works in mobile. Like, when I use features like face unlock, voice assistants, or those AI camera modes - what's actually happening behind the scenes? Is it all happening on my phone or in the cloud? I'm not looking for super technical details, just want to understand the basics of how these AI features work on mobile devices. Any explanations would be appreciated!

Hi there, I hope you are doing well.
I think mobile AI features like face unlock, voice assistants, and camera modes work by processing data either directly on your device or via the cloud. Face unlock compares your face to a secure, stored model on the device, making it quick and offline.

Voice assistants handle simple commands locally, while complex ones use cloud processing for more detailed answers. AI-enhanced cameras analyze scenes in real-time, adjusting settings for optimal shots using on-device machine learning. This blend of local and cloud AI keeps things fast, secure, and reliable.
Thanks,
Mike Taku.
