Can the thermal compound in a laptop be changed?

First, why are you going to change the thermal compound?

Second, yes, you can.

Third, because you need to completely disassemble the laptop, it should void the warranty. But you can always ask. Just don't be surprised when they say, "Yes."

If it aint broke dont fix it.

The warranty will be Void as soon as you crack it open.

Odds are youll screw it up and have an expensive paper weight.

Im gonna change it so I can have better cooling while playing games. So should i buy it with the normal thermal compound and not change anything or customize it (from btotech) with a better one? does it make any difference? I dont my laptop to overheat.

I wouldnt bother at best its going to drop the temp by like 3 degrees, and thats really not worth voiding your warranty or even worse creating a very expensive paper weight.
