Can you run a subwoofer off a subwoofer using left and right out put

My sub woofer has to left and right out puts I'm using one to connect it to my receiver but with the second left and right out put I tried hooking a speaker to it and got nothing so why do I have to sets I've done this befor with the reel 75rm sub and it worked but I was using a sub not a speaker?

Just some questions,are both the subwoofers powered.
Are the left and right outputs speaker outputs or RCA outputs.
Make and models of both subwoofers.

If you hook the receiver to an output, then you are sending nothing to the woofer. You need to hook your receiver to an input, not an output. Is that what you meant you were doing but just worded it wrong?
