Cannot change brightness. HELP

I have just got a TOSHIBA L500-01D and installed windows 7 64 bit ultimate. Now i am trying to figure out how to increase or lower my monitor brightness. I have realized that most of my function buttons do not work, uncluding the f6 and f7 which are responsible for the monitor brightness. So how do I get my function keys to work?
Any special drivers?

Go to Toshiba website and download the drivers you need. I reinstalled 7 on my laptop and had to get the drivers from acer to get my function key to work.

Try one of the L500D, or go to the local site and find the exact model.
