cannot connect acer pc windows 8 to sanyo tv through HDMI

my Acer pc with windows 8 Op does not recognize my Sanyo TV while connecting through HDMI cable.TV says no signal.My pc screen resolution is not allowing me to adjust.
can someone solve it, please?

Hi,

First, do try to press the Windows key + P at the same time and select between Extended or Duplicate display. Next, make sure that your TV source is set to HDMI. If these doesn't work do also try to uninstall/reinstall the graphics driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver.
- Check Programs and Features as well and uninstall anything related to your graphics card.
- Next is to download and install the latest graphics driver from the manufacturers support site.
- Once installed, reboot your laptop for all the changes to take effect.
- After the reboot do test it again, press the Windows key + P at the same time and select between Duplicate or Extended display.
