OK. Using WIN10 Home and just got a new monitor - 32" LG 32QN600-B, driving it with a DP connection and an older GEForce GTX 1660 Ventus XS 6G OC - and I have screen resolution set to 2560X1440/75Hz. (Which is what the monitor supports.) I get a pop-up when the PC wakes that says something to the effect, Screen not currently set to the recommended resolution. Configure the PC to 2560x1440/60Hz...
Monitor supports 75 HZ as does the GPU. (I don't see a Dispay Setting in Control Panel only the NVIDIA Control Panel. If I set it to use NVIDIA color setting it goes to 2650X1440/60Hz, but if I set it to use Default color settings, I can refresh at 75 Hz.
OK, I guess I can live with the 60Hz refresh rate, but if I set 75 Hz, I get this annoying popup every time the PC comes alive - it only lasts for 15-20 seconds - but I CANNOT GET THE MOUSE CURSOR to enter the popup to make a selection. The mouse cursor works OK up to the edge of the popup but will NOT GO INTO the popup!
Q1: Why won't the mouse cursor go into the silly popup?
Q2: After reviewing the monitor specs it says " Max Resolution 2560x1440 @ 75 HZ, but Recommended Resolution 2560x1440 @60 Hz." And, of course GPU supports max resolution of 7680x4320 with a max refresh rate of 240 Hz, or some such. OK, maybe the monitor's recommended refresh rate of 60 HZ for the monitor is the issue? any guidance?
