Cannot hear the caller

Hii people..I need help..if someone can help me..
I cannot hear the caller on my Samsung Galaxy S4. The person at other end can hear me properly. But at the same time, I can have conversation if I put it on speaker or use hands-free. i tried restarting the phone. removed the battery and tried..no luck as of now

Try doing a reboot by taking out the battery. If that does not help you can either replace it or try to do a factory reset (which will wipe out anything on the phone that is not on an external card).

Have You installed any apps recently? I had a similar problem after installing a call recording app.
