Hi,

Just bought Canon 350XT (grey body) with kit lens for $957.63 at
WalMart (Redmond, Oregon). I was a bit surprised that WalMart carried
this camera.

Good choice, dump the kit lens if it's the 18-55.

Hang one to the kit lens for your wide angle shots unless you plan on
dumping a shitload of cash for another lens that goes down to 18mm...
