cant close tabs android 6 tablet

ZH960 android 6. Can't close 16 open tabs! I can view the wheel thing and see the overlay of tabs but then what? I'm freaking out trying to figure it out.

I have a ZH960 android tablet. Browser is Google. I swipe from edge and see the box with # of tabs open so I press and hold that and get picture of tabs overlay. OK great. Now what?

Did you try restarting (turning off and back on) the tablet? That should do it.
