Hey people !

My laptop was connected with an external monitor for months, but one or two months ago after a Windows 10 update, I can't connect anymore an external monitor in HDMI or VGA.

The W10 update was far too age for back roll so I decided to reformat the laptop. After installing W8.1 I can't still connect external monitor...

Here is my PC Configuration (Vostro 3560) :

  • Intel HD Graphic 4000
    AMD Radeon HD 7670M
Windows 10 Pro (I reformat again on W10)

I installed all latest drivers of AMD and Intel but I still can't connect any external monitor. Have you any idea where it can come ?

Thanks per advance!

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by pressing the Windows key + P at the same time then select between Extended or Duplicate display then press Enter.
- If it will not work do try a different cable or a different monitor and see if the same problem will persist.
- Next is to do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Open Device Manager and uninstall the AMD graphics driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to AMD.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been install.
- Do test the laptop again after the reboot.

Thanks for your answer Leptop_Nerd,

So I followed your instructions steps by steps and it didn't change anything. Tested the monitor with another computer it work well, uninstalled AMD graphics driver and installed again and after this my external monitor is still black... Maybe can I try to uninstall and install the Intel driver again ?
