We have a Frontier cable box, an Insignia Ruko tv, and a Visio vsb205 sound bar. Our tv has no output only input, so we connected the output white and red connectors to the out put on the cable box and the other ends to the sound bar. Works great for tv,but when we opt to use Netflix we get the tv sound but the picture for Netflix. We have to enable the tv speakers to hear Netflix but not through sound bar.
We purchased a digital optical audio cable, but there are no places to plug either end to on tv or sound bar.
What do we do now to get the Netflix to play on the sound bar?

Solution
If the TV doesn't have any audio outputs you won't be able to use the built in apps to get audio to the soundbar. If you use an external streamer you can use an HDMI input selector with audio extraction to get audio from both the cable box and streamer to the soundbar.
If the TV is brand new you can try getting an exchange for one with audio output.

Play any programme on netflix then pause it, you should see an options icon in the top left of your screen. Scroll up to this icon, hit enter and you should then see a list of subtitles and audio options. Scroll down and you you should see english 5.1 ticked. Go to the item above, english normal, hit enter and you should then hear stereo sound through your soundbar. Thankfully.
