Solved! Cant open hp laptop

Hello,
I just bought a new HP laptop, and I cannot open it...is there some special way that the latches work...I feel like a nob....

What model is it? There should be a little button or something like that on the top of the screen that you hit. Also, take a look at the instructions/manual that came with it, as it should point out how to open it up.
