can't run assassin's creed syndicate on gefore 840m

hello guys i just installed assassin's creed syndicate on my laptop but i cant play it at high graphics

my system specs : intel corei7 5th gen-nvidia geforce 840m-8gb ram

i can only play at low graphics otherwise i will have a lot of lag is it the game or its my laptop that cant handle it?!?! also in system information in nvidia control panel it says total graphics memory : 4096mb but total available graphics memory : 2094 mb why dont i have all of the memory?

Re-read that thread you posted. He didn't say he could or was playing at high settings. He asked if he would be able to play AC smoothly. The games he was playing at the time he only played at medium and low.
Anyways, that GPU is WAY below system requirements for AC Syndicate. I doubt you would ever be able to run smoothly at anything higher than medium at 720p.
