Certain applications crashing and going to the bottom

I am trying to play this game but it crashes mid install and goes to the bottom of the task manager.
I cannot close or kill this app and i cannot open it or another will add to the list.

Can someone explain why this is happening?

Because you have it sorted by Memory usage. I'm not seeing a problem here.

it mean it still running, but it doesn't actually doing anything anymore.
Reboot your pc should fix it.

I have rebooted 3 times to no avail. Tried running in different compatibilities and as an administrator..

So this was my firs time using this site to ask a question. I usually just check other peoples questions and get my solution.

Turns out, AVAST antivirus was safeguarding my machine against the Unreal Developers Kit's Installer. Turn Avast off and BOOM goes the dynamite!
