Certain keys on my keyboard dont work

Hello everyone,
I have a HP Compaq Computer and when i turned it on my keyboard didnt work and after a restart some worked and some didnt:
this is some of the keys that dont work
g, h , j , ' , \ , x , . , /, esc , backspace.

Do those keys work OK with an external keyboard? You can try removing the keyboard from Device Manager, then rebooting and having it find it again. Try re-seating the connections to the motherboard. If those don't help, try a new keyboard.
