Changing the Strap on the Basis B1 Band

The Basis B1 Band, comes with bands for you to wear. However, you might want to change the straps to something more comfortable or with a different color. With the proper measurements, the Basis B1 strap can be changed easily.

Step 1: The Basis B1 Band uses the standard 26mm watch strap. While looking for a new strap, make sure you find one that is exactly 26mm wide. The metal rod that attaches the strap to the holder is also a standard 26mm size.

Step 2: You need to first remove your old strap from the Basis. Place your thumb on top of the strap closest to the Basis, and put your forefinger beneath the thumb on the other side of the strap. Press up with your forefinger and twist slightly. That side of the strap should pop off the Basis smoothly.

Step 3: Place your new strap on the side of the Basis by inserting it into the slot. It should click and fit well. If not, your measurements may be off, and you will need to purchase another strap. Repeat this process with the other side of the Basis module.

Recap: As long as you have straps with the correct 26mm measurements, you will be able to exchange the Basis strap with anything that feels more comfortable than the default strap. Make sure that the straps do not interfere with the Basis and that they don’t double back to settle below the Basis. The module will not work with those kinds of straps.
