Changing to vertical display on tv

I want to know how to change my TV to vertical view instead of the traditional horizontal widescreen.

if you are using a computer to provide the signal feed then you could use something like this http/www.portrait.com/technology/screen-rotation.html which rotates the signals sent to the display.

you could then technically mount it sideways on the wall and use it in that manner. however, most mounts are meant for horizontal only mounting.
