Charger drasticly reduces performance

A while ago i posted here saying i had problems with my computer, well after my friend said something about the watts in the computer i unpluged the charger for some strange reason, and then the computer was running beautifully. And, well you guessed it, when i plug it back it, it runs like crap again. Does anyone have any idea why this is? On the charger it says 19.5v. Is there anyway i can get a higher voltage charger? or should i just go ahead and attempt to return the laptop and give up its convience and buy a desktop?

Well, there seems to be a problem with your laptop's electrical system, so you may want to return it for a replacement.
