Hello,
my baterry not charging over 80% its stop charging at 80%

Is it a Samsung laptop by chance? If so, it may have come pre-installed with a Battery Life Extender Program you will have to switch to "Normal Battery Mode."

If not, give us the Laptop Make, Model, and bios version, and maybe we can figure this out.

Dell by any chance...they are DESIGNED to do this... ?

they go bad over time.

Even an old battery will still show 100% charge. The amount of time the battery actually holds the charge will just decrease.
