I've been searching for a laptop to use during university for different purposes (I'm not sure what I'll do yet, but I will do some word, powerpoint and coding for sure). During my search I've found the two best performance ratio laptops in my region, which are as follows:

Acer E5-575G-54LY (680$) which boasts:
i5-7200U
256GB M.2 SSD
8GB DDR4
GTX 950M 2GB

and a Lenovo Y700-15ISK (784$) that has:
i5-6300HQ
1TB HDD (5400 RPM)
8GB DDR4
GTX 960M 4GB

I don't really need a gaming laptop as I have a pretty decent desktop, but I'm looking for a good perfomance to price ratio. I was hoping you could help me choose between these once. Other sugestions are welcome but I'm not sure I'll be able to find them in my area. And if you think my budget is too high for a university laptop, please do tell me.

SSD is always nice... will need more storage if you collect media or installed programs over time.
if you don't game i don't think 2 or 4 GB graphics matters.
