Clevo P170SM-A GPU upgrade

I was wondering if the GPU in the Clevo P170SM is upgradable, I'd like to stick in a 980M but the people I bought it from says the card is soldered to the board. Although I've seen threads around the web of people upgrading them.

Does anyone know If it's possible?

You could try looking for a 980M here. A lot of Clevo barebones do have soldered in GPUs especially their low-mid range ones.

Yeah there is a 980M available, now I just need to know if the upgrade is possible.

Well why don't you just open up your laptop itself and check to see if you have any open lanes? Things I would check are the dimensions of the card and it's heatsink and whether it'll fit inside.
