Solved! CMOS Battery Location On ASUS K501UX

Hi, as the title states, I have an ASUS K501UX laptop, and I would like to know where the CMOS battery is located on this laptop. Thank you.

While these aren't for the UX specifically (I cannot find any location data on that one model) they may help you in finding the batter.

It seems likely that yours in is in the same location. Meaning it will be complicated to get to, so be careful.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have already taken out the motherboard, since there are ASUS models where the CMOS battery is on the underside of the motherboard. But it seems that the CMOS battery location is different on my model, as I couldn't find it on the underside of the motherboard.

That is unusual. That series tends to have it there. Got me on this one then.

Anyone else have any ideas?
