I currently have an HD subscription form Comcast and have my main HDTV hooked up to the HD box which works perfect. However, I am looking at buying a Sumsung HDTV that has the HD tuner built into it for my bedroom. So my question is can I just split the main line coming into my house and hook the coax cable into my Samsung TV and recieve the Comcast HD channels or do I need to have another Comcast box for my bedroom?

Without the Comcast HD Cable box, you're only going to receive the channels that Comcast broadcasts unencrypted. If you're looking to watch pay channels (HBO/Showtime), you will need the second HD Cable box.

You DO need the comcast box. There aren't any HD channels that comcast sends out that you can pickup w/out having the box. You could pickup AIR HD channels like NBC, CBS etc, but thats it.

To get all the comcast HD channels you need the box, built in HD tuner or not.
