Hey all, A general question. What do composers/producers generally
charge for a small market 30 second intro peice of original musdic. Say
intro theme to a cooking video? Of course there's a huge variety but a
ball prk for a small company etc. Let's say MIDI only.

Midi only isn't really an issue cause the producers will need a wav file or
like to edit into the show. Whether you produce your tracks with midi only
or with live instruments only matters from a stand point of how much it cost
you to produce. A small market cooking show probably has an extremely
limited budget for original music. Get whatever you can - there's no hard
and fast rule - but generally don't charge less than how many hours it took
you to produce multiplied by how much you think you should make per hour. If
it's a buy out vs a single use license you can try and leverage for a little
more.
