Solved! compatible RAM for Asus X553MA

Hi there. I have an Asus X553MA laptop. I want to upgrade the RAM from 4Gb to 8Gb. Current memory installed is 4Gb DDR3 1333mHz. The laptop's manual states under 'memory': 'DDR3 MHz SDRAM, up to 8 G'. I'm looking a purchasing an: '8Gb DDR3 PC3L-12800 . CL=11 . Unbuffered . NON-ECC . DDR3-1600 . 1.35V'. Are the specification for the 8Gb memory compatible for my Asus X553MA ? If yes, thank you for the confirmation. If not, please let me know what I should be looking for? Many thanks in advance.

Check at www.crucial.com. Their memory tool has worked well for me several times.

Let me know how it works for you! You should be able to just purchase another 4GB assuming there are two memory slots. Sometimes 2 smaller RAM cards are faster than one big one depending on how the machine is architected (dual memory channels). I don't know if this is common or uncommon in laptops.
