Component and smart tv??

I am trying to hook up a karaoke machine to a Samsung smart TV I cannot get that video to work without being fuzzy. I have yellow component plugged into the yellow and put on the TV but it is still coming up fuzzy, The same thing happens when I try to plug in my video camera and watch home videos. I currently have my cable hooked up with a green cord plugged into the yellow input and that works fine so what am I doing wrong?? Thanks

If that's a single yellow plug, is not Component, is Composite Video and is the oldest, lowest video quality interface you can use. Component uses 3 cables for video, 2 cables for audio.

SD video looks worse on a HD set. It has to be deinterlaced and upscaled to be displayed. The processing to do this is not cheap so it's very often neglected to save cost.
