Computer specs for gaming

Hello my sister has been complaining that her computer is running slow after not using it for about 2 years (mostly plays World of warcraft) and was thinking if I should get her a new one or just be better to do some kind of upgrades or updates on hers ?

Here are the specs I could find

Processor AMD Phenom(tm) 9500 Quad-Core 2.20GHz
Installed RAM 3.00GB
32-bit
Graphics - GE force 8500GT

i think you should get some upgrades because a have a computer that i have not used over 5 years and it goes really fast

what operating system are you using windows xp vista 7 or 8 or a mac.
