Computer switched off while downloading a torrent using utorrent

My computer switched off due to a power cut unexpectedly while i was downloading a file in utorrent.all i want to know is whether this will affect the file that i am downloading.

no it will not affect the file you were downloading. Do you have powersaving features on? does your monitor perhaps go in sleeping mode after 10 minutes?

Its a 4gb file im downloading.i have heard of a option in utorrent that switcht off the pc automatically.how do i do that.and will my powersaving option be a problem to the download
