all of the sudden i cant boot up into my system , i am learning linux on it . there's an error , reboot and select proper device . i tried changing boot priorities also tried installing os again from cd(changed boot priority in this case too) . is this a hard disk fault or something else?

Hello jksprt1

If possible, can you please try booting an operating system from its portable DVD? If the portable version of the operating system can boot your computer from the optical disc, you may need to scan your hard drive for the bad sectors.

You can also use Partition Magic to set the last sector of your faulty hard drive to store MBR. This allows the operating system to boot normally. However, if you detect that your hard disk is faulty, it would be best if you replace it with a new one.

Cheers!!
