Solved! Connect flash to DCR SR55E Sony Handycam

Hi all, i have an issue with connecting a Flash to my handycam. From what I've understood there is the "active interface" shoe, which seems like its a rare type of shoe? I bought a "universal" flash so i thought i would be able to insert it but havent been. Do I need to buy an adaptor that fits my cameras shoe in order to put any type of accessory? Or do I have to buy a certain type of accessory with that specific type of shoe?? The Active Interface Shoe seems like it is smaller than the universal shoe type, and it also looks quite complicated to fit things in due to its small size plus the cover takes some space as it does not retract itself fully.

Thank you in advance for any type of advice.. I am quite lost haha

I suspect you need one of these types of flashes to work with that particular shoe:

Okay thank you! Was hoping to find other brands with same shoe type but if its a sony one i guess it makes sense i cant find anything else..
