Connect Samsung blue ray 2 Soniq tv

I have surround sound Samsung blue ray connected to soniq tv works fine with music and movies but I can't get my laptop (which is connected to tv hdmi cable )or "normal" tv audio to play thru surround speakers.. ?? Tv is a E48W13A-AU

You will need to connect the TV optical digital audio out to the optical input on the Samsung HTS. You may have to turn the optical output on, turn the TV speakers off, and change the audio output type in the TV menu.
