connect tn display to ips monitor

hi there everyone. I'm planning o buy lenovo y50-70 which has tn panel on it. I heard tn panel is really bad so if I connect the laptop to ips monitor will I get a ips quality display. thanks in advance.

Yes, your external monitor quality has nothing to do with what type of panel the laptop has so long as it has the correct type of external port to connect with the monitor.
