Connected my visio 5.1 sound bar to my sharp digital optic out & still doesn't work????

Hello.

Did you correctly set the Sharp TV to PCM instead of Dolby Digital? Go into the Digital Setup menu of your Sharp TV, there will be a choice called Audio Selection. Select PCM.

As above plus you may have to turn the optical audio on and turn the TV speakers off in the TV menus.
