connecting 5 speakers+1 subwoofer to LG smart TV

Dears,
I have a Smart 3D cinema TV 50LA6200 series that i would like to connect to 5 speakers +
1 subwoofer.
The issue is that my JAMO home theater machine is not functioning anymore, but i still have the speakers and the subwoofer which are working properly; i want to connect them to the TV or to the bluray machine also LG 3D.
Any ideas?
Do i need an amplifier? if yes, how to connect the amplifier to the TV or DVD machine?

You will need a surround sound receiver. You may have a problem if your subwoofer is not self powered (has its own AC Cord) since receivers do not have an amp for the sub. Home Theater in a Box (HTiB for short) often put all the amplifiers in the main unit.
Your TV has an optical audio output that you connect that to the receiver.
