Connecting a subwoofer to a stereo amp

My setup is a old technics amp running a pair of nova 15s. it doesn't have a woofer output and it probably doesn't need one... But for the sake of experimenting, how would I plug a non powered woofer? Would I be able to bridge the left and right positive and negative and then run that to the sub? Or is it simply not possible with my amp... At least without damage?

You would need a subwoofer crossover

connect the sub to one side if it doesn't have dual voice coils.
Not perfect but you won't blow your amp up this way. Won't give you a way to adjust the level of the subwoofer so the resulting sound is ?
You could pad the full range speakers or the sub (whichever is to loud) to balance the sound. The forum on Parts-Express would give you some help with this.
