I got a Lenovo Legion Y530, with an i7 8750H, 16GB of DDR4 Memory, and a GTX 1050Ti, I wanted to ask if I connect the laptop via HDMI / DP to an external display, will it affect the performance/lag of games in any way? or it will be just as good as the performance of gaming on the laptop's display?
sorry for the bad English :(

The monitor is not here atm, and also i suspect it may cause a lag ( like if ill press the mouse to shoot in any game, the time i’ll see the shot on the monitor’s screen will be after i’ll hear the shot from the speakers)

Hi just a quick question, did you end up doing it? And what was your results. I am going to run on my MSI gp62 7rdx leapard has similar specs to the t but im using a 1050 instead and want to run a external. But wonder which i should go with

For a 1050 card, stick with a 1080 60hz monitor, maybe 75.
