I have a problem with my blue-ray home theater. The sound is not coming from the speakers, only from TV. I connected my laptop "or Chromcast" to the TV using HDMI and I connected the theater to the TV with HDM too. I can see the screen of my laptop "or chromcast" on the TV but I don’t hear the sound from the speakers.
In my TV there is no Optical digital audio input.
Home theater: Panasonic SA BTT 195
TV: Sanyo DP 50843
Thank you for the reply, the link is not working.
in my tv i have:
A- 5 colored output " two of them red and white - DVI / Audio "
B- 1 Audio digital output " red"
C- 2 HDMI
In the theater system i have:
A- Red and white input " aux"
B- Optical/ digital audio in " i don't have this in the tv"
1-What cables should i plug in and where?
2- What are the setting for both theater and tv?
Please check again designation of your TV' RCA connections: I doublt these you've labeled as 'A' are actually outputs. If you're sure that 'B' is actually an output, you'll need coax-to-optical digital converter, plus appropriate cables on both ends.
Sounds like you need to convert the coax digital audio output of the TV to optical digital so you can connect it to the HTS. https/www.amazon.com/C2G-40018-Coaxial-Converter-Compliant/dp/B0002J2MV4
TV coax digital out to converter with digital audio cable (most composite video or audio cables will work)
Converter optical audio out connects to the HTS optical input with a toslink digital audio cable.
Check the TV manual on how to turn on and use the digital audio output.
