connecting laptop to tv

hi what leads do ineed to connect my Toshiba laptop which has vga port and usb to my Samsung plasma tv which has hdmi and usb please help I want o use tv to watch streaming video and football.

You would need to convert the laptop VGA output to HDMI with one of these

or add an HDMI output with one of these
http/www.amazon.com/IOGEAR-External-Video-Interface-GUC2025H/dp/B004OA73PW
This would allow the laptop screen to show your desktop if you wish and have only the video running on the TV which would be like a second monitor.
The USB connections will not work together in this case.
