connecting samsung home theater to get 5.1 DTS sound

i want to use my home cinema to get it's 5.1 DTS sound from my laptop and i don't know how to connect and configure it. help pls...

Does your laptop have HDMI out? Or just the headphone jack?

For DTS 5.1 you will need to use the HDMI out or a digital audio output which is not common on laptops so you might need a USB audio adaptor such as this
