Connecting Subwoofer to Audioengine A2's

Ive been trying to do some research on how to connect a seperate sub to these a2's. They have 2 sets of inputs a and b. A being two jacks, left and right 3.5mm and B being a single 3.5mm jack. Am I able to just buy a powered sub and connect it via one of those ports? If not any help would be appreciated.

Well, I just looked at them they it has a pair of RCA outputs, so you can hook up here.... sub must be self-powered, must accept L+R, SHOULD have its own gain control, SHOULD have a CROSSOVER knob.
