connecting tv sound to samsung stereo

I am trying to connect my philips model no 32pfl5322/10 to my samsung stereo i bought rca cable (just 2 plugs red and white) plugged them into back of tv and put jack into my samsung stereo and sound still coming from Tv .. help please ??

According to the User's Manual that TV does NOT have an audio output capability other than the headphone jack. See PDF page 25. All the audio jacks are INPUT.

You may be able to connect your cable box or satellite box to your stereo but it doesn't look like that TV can be connected.
