Connecting TV to a laptop

How can i connect my laptop to my TV by wireless? my laptop is HP Pavilion 11, and im using LG ultra hd tv. I got a wifi if it is being needed. thank you.

Unless your TV is of "smart" variety, and has special app loaded, and your laptop is of another special variety - yes, you can do that without additional hardware.

ChromeCast is relatively cheap, and you can transmit almost any webpage with it. You cannot use it to stream your desktop (eg your Solitarie game).

I thought you could stream you desktop, although it was still an "experimental" feature. Regardless chromecast is probably your best bet.
