Contradictory CPU comparison results by 2 websites ?

Solution
1) The important part is that the i7-6700HQ has twice the number of physical cores (and both have hyperthreading).

So the i7 has theoretically about 2x the CPU processing available (Passmark is close, but not perfect):

vs

2) The GPU is also better in the newer processor. (if you do light gaming and did NOT get a dedicated graphics processor like NVidia GTX1050)

3) For most tasks however both CPU's will work about the same so unless you do a task that needs the extra CPU processing power it may not be worth it to spend the extra cash.

Because one uses theoretical data to form a guess and means nothing CPU/GPU boss are completely pointless unless you know what to look for. Their results are pointless, but if you know enough about the hardware to draw your own it can help some. The 6700hq will slaughter the 5287 in everything but integrated video.

============

Actually in this particular question, the point was not that which cpu is better, but about the websites ..
