Hello all,
I have an old ( year 2007) HP DV6000 special edition ( copper brown) laptop which I use while traveling. When I bought it I had upgraded it to 4GB RAM but since it is 32 bit it uses only up to 3GB RAM. The guy who upgraded it never told me this though! Now I am thinking of formatting the system and I wish to install windows 7 64 bit and Ubuntu on it. My question is whether I can use 64bit windows 7 on it? Would it be compatible? Would I have problems when I install/update drivers? My processor is. Intel core 2duo T5550 1.83ghz

Many thanks in advance

install your windows & see what drivers are missing or unknown then post back here so we can link you to the correct drivers. I have both the intel chipset & realtek hd audio drivers for different versions of windows on my utility flash drive as I do repairs & upgrades for a living.
