Core i7 slow response

Hello everyone,
i just bought a refurbished corei7 and m getting very slow response at some time.I guess its the harddisk.its giving 5.7 ratings on windows experience index

I would suggest getting and SSD. With a 7200RPM he'll be lucky to get 5.9 index.

5400 rpm drives are way slow. you want 1 with high RPM's and lots of cache. I recommend WD black edition. They are great. WD velociraptor is even better, but more expensive per GB of data. An SSD would give you the best possible performance, but they are quite expensive per GB. My 120GB model achieves 7.8 in Windows 7 score, my CPU also somehow scores the same. (my other parts score full 7.9) I think that the score is somewhat flawed...
