Corrupted SD card

I think I might have lost photos and videos from the SD card in my camcorder. When using the SD card in a card reader, my PC cannot identify the card i.e. no drive letter for the card is present in "Computer". The card is also not identified in the camcorder. I think all is lost but if anyone out there has any suggestions, I will be willing to give it a go. Cheers.

A number of options to try and recover data off of a corrupt card. In too many cases though, none of them really work.
