Hey guys, I have a Asus N53JQ Notebook which i have loved since the day i got it 3 or four years ago. Recently I wanted to remove some of the outer panels to do some detailed drawings on em. DOES ANYONE HERE KNOW what the plate/cover/shell section is called that your wrists sit on when you type? it surrounds the trackpad and has 4 little holes at the bottom for power and status lights. It had been held down before by some sort of factory glue or double sided tape.
when i removed it, it exposed these two square holes, the right one is directly below and slightly to the right from the " -> (right arrow) key and a bit underneath the 0 key on the num pad and about an inch below them. the left one is directly beneath the ALT key about two or three inches.
They both had this floating aluminum cover that jutted out from one side of the hole as to like cover it... when i looked undermeath. there is nothing under there but the frame i believe.
THEN i touched the Aluminum again to bend them back down and all of asudden the computer abruptly shut down.
It turned right back on but can anyone shed some light on these mystery holes?!
