Hey,

I wanted to ask whether you, if you have used Core Temp or CPU-Z, have experienced crashes / data loss, or whether it has damaged your system?

Because the ones who made the "Core Temp" program put in the disclaimers that there is a possibility for crashes, etc.

I downloaded and installed it, because I watched a Youtube Video, on the NCIX Tech Tips channel, where Linus mentioned 3 programs in regards to hardware monitoring.

So should I uninstall it, or?? Is RealTemp better than Core Temp? Which shows most information.

Thanks!

I just recently uninstalled Core Temp because I read forum posts on how it istalls adware & malware on your PC without consent.

How fast is my PC supposed to download stuff with a Crucial MX300 525GB SSD.

I'll just go with Real Temp, I guess.

Just have to watch where you are getting software from. Go to some proven safe site like http://www.majorgeeks.com/
What do you mean by "PC supposed to download stuff with a Crucial MX300 525GB SSD" from internet ??

I downloaded from http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/ .

I have ever since I noticed some adware (some words being highlighted as adware, i.e. say you write a sentence " I love sweets, because it tastes very good" then say the word "tastes" gets highlighted and if you then hover over it, an ad appears.

Well, I am just paranoid of whether I accidentally installed a virus or malware.
